From Friday, January 29 through Saturday, February 20, Babies"R"Us and Toys"R"Us stores nationwide are holding the "Great Trade-In" event, providing our customers the opportunity to trade-in any used cribs, car seats, bassinets, strollers, travel systems, play yards, toddler beds or high chairs in exchange for a 25% savings on the purchase of any new baby item, in any of these product categories, from select manufacturers.
The "Great Trade-In" event places an emphasis on specific baby products, such as cribs and car seats that, due to safety concerns, may not be the best candidates to be handed down or resold. Beyond recalls, certain older and used baby items can be potentially unsafe for a variety of reasons, including damage or lack of compliance with recent advances in product safety standards.
Visit your local Babies"R"Us or Toys"R"Us store to trade-in your used crib or baby product. Day care centers or other organizations who wish to exchange items in bulk are encouraged to contact their local Babies"R"Us or Toys"R"Us store prior to returning their used items to ensure adequate availability of new merchandise.
*Participating brands are: Babi Italia, Baby Caché, Baby Trend, Bergamo, Bertini, Britax, Carter's, Chicco, Contours by Kolcraft, Cosco, Delta, Eddie Bauer, Evenflo, Graco, Jeep, Little Tikes, Safety 1st, Sorelle and Step2.

Legos are a must have toy for many boys and girls. Chicago is lucky to have LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Schaumburg, which celebrates the joys of Legos and all the creativity that they offer.
From January 16 through January 18, 2010, LEGOLAND Schaumburg is celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr with Dream Weekend.
Throughout the Dream Weekend celebration, parents and children can participate in an interactive mural that depicts King's "I Have a Dream" speech. The guests will build brick by brick a mosaic which is more than nine feet long comprised of over 16,000 bricks. In additional to the mural, children can add their thoughts and drawings to the Park's "Dream Box." A selection of these submissions will be posted on the LEGOLAND Discovery Center website.
LEGOLAND mosaic designer Dan Morey will be available to answer questions on the exhibit.
While at the Park, families can explore a multitude of other exhibits including the Technicycle, Dragon Ride, and a tour of the Lego factory. For a complete list of all exhibits, please click here.
