Discover the Magic of Play at Chicago Toy and Game Fair - giveaway

On the weekend before Thanksgiving, Navy Pier will be filled with the Magic of Play during the 11th annual Chicago Toy and Game Fair.  Kids and adults can learn about some of the season's hottest toys. It is a great chance for kids to make their wish lists. It is time to mark your calendars for November 23 and 24.

Here are some Fair highlights for Saturday, November 23rd:
10:00AM – 2:00PM: Check out the Young Inventor Challenge (YIC) exhibits and delight in the fun and creative toy and game inventions from some of our youngest inventive minds.  Cast your votes for the “Best in Show” and the “People’s Choice” awards and see who goes home a winner. 

10:00AM – 5:00PM: Perfect your Yo-Yo skills with a dynamic performance competition featuring hands-on tips for all skill levels. The immensely entertaining and official Illinois State Yo-Yo Contest is open to all ages and will crown the longest standing yo-yo participant the title of champion.

12:00PM – 1:00PM: Meet and eat with your favorites from Star Wars 501st Legion: Vader’s First! You’re also invited to try your hand at a Stars Wars-themed rendition of the award-winning card game based on “War” for the chance to win a medal. (Registration required: http://www.chitagfair.com/events/501st.ht; Cost: $30 per child, $36 per adult; tournament only open to children ages 6 to 14.)

3:00PM: Help make history with the Girl Scouts of America by playing the Top Trumps Moshi Monsters deck in hopes of setting the Guinness World Record for the “Most People Playing a Card Game at the Same Time in the Same City.” (Registration required for Girl Scouts: http://register.girlscoutsgcnwi.org/)
