Cookies, popcorn and brownies burst with caramel fall flavors from Werther's Originals Baking Caramels

As the fall colors burst and the cooler air rolls in, baking treats becomes a family event. The warmth of the oven is welcome and the delicious aromas of the treats brings smiles to everyone's faces.

A favorite fall flavor is caramel. From salted caramel cookies to traditional caramel apples, the sweet bites delight your taste buds. The sweet, creamy flavor of caramel brings back memories of family fall baking. From Halloween treats to Thanksgiving favorites, caramel is the flavor profile.

Recently I was able to host a Werther's Original caramels baking party. I asked my friends to bring some caramel inspired recipes to kick off the holiday baking season. The consensus was that caramel makes a great topping for classic baking treats. From cookies to brownies and brittle to popcorn, we all had a blast trying some of the delicious bites.

Here are a few of our tips and favorite items from the day.
