I get tired of making school lunches. I'm sad to say that a sandwich can be boring. Five days a week I'm putting something in between two slices of bread. If I'm not excited about making it, my kids can't be excited about eating it.

There is a fun new book that can help me break the sandwich boredom, the Mini Book of Grandwiches.

The Mini Book of Grandwiches gives some cute suggestions for making sandwiches fun. From an elephant to a pepperoni safari, there are many adorable options to make lunch fun.The book provides easy directions, templates and tool suggestions to make lunchtime an entertaining event.

This weekend my son has a tae kwon do tournament and I know that he would love the black belt sandwich to give him a little extra encouragement on his big day. With a little cutting and placement, my boring cheese sandwich turned into a martial arts powerhouse. It will surely bring a smile to his face.

The Mini Book of Grandwiches includes 52 lunch filling ideas, 13 mayo recipes, tools, templates and a lot of fun ideas. The book can be purchased on Amazon.com or you can learn more about this book and the author at http://www.mycutecuisine.com/.

  1. Sometimes I'll put a couple of pcs of candy, a note saying Have a great day, or just one of his FAVORITE treats...which means he won't have to share it with siblings.
