Get the family away from the television and video games this weekend. Head to a local museum during Museums on Us.

Museums on Us, by Bank of America, is a great way to explore our city's amazing museums for free. .

Here's how the program works. Bank of American customers must show a photo ID and a valid Bank of America/Merrill Lynch credit or debit card to receive one free general admission entrance. Special exhibits and programs are not included in the free admission program. This offer cannot be combined with other offers.

The Museums on Us is offered nation-wide. There are more 50 leading U.S. cultural institutions, in 91 cities across the country, open their doors to bank cardholders on the first full weekend of each month. Participating institutions include museums, historical sites, botanical gardens, science centers and zoos. 

In the Chicago area the participating locations are:

Adler Planetarium (new for 2012)
The Art Institute of Chicago
Chicago History Museum
Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago
Shedd Aquarium

Bank of America Museums on Us November 5-6

November 5 and 6, the first weekend of the month, means free museum admission for Bank of America customers holders to many of the nation's museums.


In the Chicago area, the participating museums are The Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago History Museum, DuSable Museum of African American History, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and Shedd Aquarium.

It's about to be the first of the month and that means Bank of America Museums on Us is back. This Saturday and Sunday, October 1 and 2, Bank of America customers can receive free admission to select museums throughout the nation.

Bank of America Museums on Us free admission Labor Day weekend

Looking for something and FREE to do this Labor Day weekend?

 September 3-4, Labor Day weekend is the first weekend of the month, which means Museums on Us free museum admission from Bank of America.

Bank of America's FREE program allows Bank of American cardholders to have free admission to select museum across the nation. To receive your free admission, bring your Bank of America or Merrill Lynch debit and/or credit card to the participating museums with your photo identification.

Participating Chicago area museums include:

The Art Institute of Chicago
The Chicago History Museum
The DuSable Museum of African American History
The Museum of Contemporary Art (not on Sunday though)
The Shedd Aquarium

Since this program is national, you can participate in other cities. For those who are traveling this weekend, Museums on Us can be a great vacation savings.
