Every weekend is full of holiday parties and other special gatherings. Since most of us travel in similar circles, the parties tend to drag as the season progresses. From the same boring conversation to the droning on of the often told story, the fun and festive party is long gone. Make your holiday gathering the talk of the party season with Spontuneous.
Here's the premise of the game. Players
take turns trying to think of a word that will stump the other players
from being able to sing a 5-word portion of lyrics (from any song) that
contains the given Trigger-word. If the 15-second timer expires and you
have stumped everyone, then you must prove you know a song containing
your own Trigger-Word or else your penalized. It will test your
knowledge of lyrics and will forever change the way you listen to music.
First and foremost, singing on tune, with pitch or any other talent is not required. The idea is to show off your lyrical knowledge not your singing voice. Personally, I like singing the answer is the worst possible way because it is more fun.
The fun of this game is that people get to know about each other. I can tell a lot about a person based on how he answers the trigger word. From 80s hair bands to country love songs, each answer shares a little about a person's background. I would have never known that a neighbor had musical theater background till we played this game.
The game retails for $24.95 at the Spontuneous online store or local retailers including Marbles the Brain Store.
