Crayola and Lisa Loeb watch Inside the Crayon Box tonight

Do your children love to create mini-masterpieces?  Is the 64 count Crayola box a permanent fixture on the kids' desks?  Crayola wants to keep kids and families full of creative ideas.

On Wednesday, March 7 at 9 pm EST, Lisa Loeb and Crayola will be hosting a live chat, Inside the Crayon Box.  You might remember Lisa Loeb from her hit song, Stay. Now this mother and artist has released her new  book, Lisa Loeb´s Silly Sing-Along: The Disappointing Pancake and Other Zany Songs (Sterling Children´s Books, 2011) available at Barnes &Noble and  Amazon.com. This enjoyable and interactive book includes fun activities, games, and recipes with a full cd of whimsical songs.

Why is creativity in children so important? Did you know that creativity can foster critical thinking, problem solving and leadership qualities. As parents and caregivers, it is important to think of activities that foster the creative process. Inside the Crayon Box will create a dynamic conversation on children's creativity.

Inside the Crayon Box will cover a variety of topics, including.
  • Why Does Creativity Matter? Creativity is not about who´s the best artists or becoming an architect. It´s a way of thinking that encourages kids´ original ideas and develops their confidence.
  • Growing Up Creative. Lisa will share stories about growing up in a home where creativity was encouraged.
  • Simple Tips. Easy Ideas. Like most moms, Lisa juggles a lot. She´ll share simple, easy ways she sparks her daughter´s creativity as part of their daily routine.
