Bazinga - The Big Bang Theory could get a People's Choice Award

Do you know the word bazinga? If you are a fan of the show The Big Bang Theory, you do. This memorable catch phrase is uttered by Sheldon every time he pranks one of his friends. The word has made it into the urban dictionary and has numerous shirts emblazoned with it.

I know this word well because I am a huge fan of The Big Bang Theory. From Sheldon's pranks to Raj's inability to talk to girls, each episode causes me to laugh. I can't wait to tune in each week to watch the latest shenanigans of the group. Who knew that physicists could be so funny?

The Big Bang Theory is a WB comedy about roommates Sheldon and Leonard and their friends. While the men in the circle are the quintessential Star Trek, comic book loving, geeks, the girls of the show, specifically Penny, bring the relate-able persona to all the scientific conversations. The stories involve the interactions between two different worlds. But, in the end, everyone really just wants the same thing companionship.

This year I will be voting The Big Bang Theory as my People's Choice Award for favorite network comedy. Right now you can cast your vote for each People's Choice Award category.

Maybe you have a favorite network drama like Fringe or prefer competitive shows like The Voice, there is a category for you to share your opinion.

If you don't vote, your opinion won't be counted. So head over to the People's Choice Awards website and vote today. Tune in to CBS on January 11, 2012 to see if your favorite show won.
