As the holidays draw near, we bake a lot in our house. Whether it's a warm pumpkin bread for breakfast or treats to take to a neighbor, it seems that there is always something in the oven.

Usually my kids love helping me with my baking. One of their favorite items is cookies. Sometimes making the cut-out cookies can be a trying event. They do not need a lot of direction and it is simple task to accomplish. What we do is make an assembly line where I make and roll out the dough. The kids follow carefully stamping the design into the short bread cookies. It's a fun family project.
