August programming at Naperville Public Library

Although the summer reading program has ended and school is about to start, Naperville Public Library has lots of great programming for the month of August.

Here is a list of programming for August.

August 5 10:30 am, Nichols Library, Family Storytime  Come as a whole family to a fun 30 minutes of stories and songs. At least one caregiver should attend with the children. All ages are welcome and no registration is required.

August 6 10:30 am, 95th Street Library, Family Story time, Come as a whole family to a fun 30 minutes of stories and songs. At least one caregiver should attend with the children. All ages are welcome and no registration is required.

August 11, 10:30 am, 95th Street Library: Going Buggy   Tied of the kids bugging you for a fun morning out?  Join the library staff for a bug safari. From the creepy and crawly to the cute and fuzzy, there will be a little critter for everyone. Kids will make a craft, hear bug stories, and sing songs. This event is for children of all ages and their caregivers. 


August 12, 2 pm, Naper Blvd Library, Medieval Table Games for Teens: Turn back the clock with some medieval table games. Options include chess, checkers, backgammon, cards, King's corner and Wizards. Also, teen participants will snack on an edible castle, which he will build. No registration is required.

August 15, 9:30 am 95th Street Library, Playdate with Baby: Join with your little one for playful fun. For 20 minutes you will hear stories, songs and bounce to the music. After there will be 10 minutes of exploratory play. This event is a fun way for children and caregivers to interact and make new friends. This program is for children ages birth to 23 months and their caregiver only. No older siblings are allowed. No registration is required.
