Naperville Public Library summer reading program was a huge success

The Naperville Public Library summer reading program was a huge success. For the 2011 summer program, participation increased by 1000 or more than 10% from last year. The adult and teen groups saw the largest increase in participation. The summer reading program ended on July 31.

For those who participated in the various programs, there were incentive prizes as well as grand prize raffle drawings. The summer reading program had four groups, The Rubber Ducky Club, Children, Teen and Adult. When a participant completed a path or read four books, they received a incentive prize and an entry to the grand prize raffle.

Starting next week, the Library will name the winners of the grand prize raffles. Prizes include for kids a Family Annual 4-Pack to Legoland and a Lego toy, for teens an iPad2 and various gift cards to local restaurants and for adults a Sony eReader plus gift cards of up to $50 each to local businesses.

Even though the summer reading program is over, let's continue the strong participation in our local library's programming. For a compete list of Naperville Public Library's programming for August, please see here.
