The weekend long Swedish Days festival in Geneva celebrates kids on Friday, June 24. Throughout the entire day, kids will have numerous activities to keep them occupied.
Here is a list of special events for Kids Day.
Delnor Teddy Bear Clinic: 11 am till 3 pm
Head to the Courthouse Lawn for the Delnor Teddy Bear Clinic. Help the teddy bears learn healthy eating habits, good dental care, first aid and some fun exercises. This program is sponsored by Delnor Express Care, McCall Family Dentistry, New Beginnings Pediatrics, and Delnor Community Health & Outreach.
Kyuki-Do Martial Arts: 11 am till 3 pm
Are you ready to learn martial arts? Kyuki-Do Martial Arts of Geneva will host interactive demonstrations for all ages. Everyone is invited to come and participate.
I9 Sports: 11 am till 3 pm
I9 Sports is committed to fun, safe, and convenient programs for kids of all skills levels. i9 Sports will available to answer questions about their programs. In addition to kids learning skills, the program teaches teamwork, fair play and good sportsmanship.
Kids’ Day Parade, 12:30 pm
Watch the kids travel the parade route for this special kids’ parade. The route is West on James St. to 3rd St, South to Campbell St. and disperses at 3rd St and Campbell St.
Kids’ Day Games & Entertainment 1-3 pm
On the Central Stage and Courthouse Lawn, there will be a variety of fun, child friendly performances. Groups include Sunset Dancers, Geneva Gymnastics and Geneva Angels Cheerleading, race games plus “new” Video Game Tournament; all coordinated by the Geneva Park District; Dunk Tank and Hoop It Up coordinated by All Star Sports Instruction; Juggler Jason Kollum entertains.
Kids’ Day Mini Golf, 3-7 pm
Stone Creek Miniature Golf Course will offer $2 mini-golf for children ages 3-15 years old. Any children under 10 should be supervised by an adult. Stone Creek Miniature Golf Course is located at Wheeler Park at Rt. 31.
Twilight Golf Night, 9 pm till midnight
Presented by the Geneva Park District, Stone Creek Miniature Golf Course will offer golf in the dark mini-golf. This event is for children 13 years old and older. The last tee time is 11:15 pm and each round will cost $8.
So forget the pool on Friday and head to Swedish Days in Geneva.
