Gustafer Yellowgold’s Infinity Sock, where is the toe end, DVD review

With another afternoon stuck inside because of bad weather, the boys and I decided it was a movie day. Since we were wishing for some sun, we decided to watch Gustafer Yellowgold’s Infinity Sock. It made the kids smile and think happy, sunny thoughts.

Gustafer Yellowgold is a well known children’s artist. The Infinity Sock is the fourth a series of award winning illustrations/songs by Morgan Taylor.

Since my kids are getting into more modern music, I was wondering if this animated musical would capture their attention. The Infinity Sock kept them attentive and engaged for the entire show.  From Sock of Ages to Cheddar, the kids clapped and danced to the beat.  Their favorite song was Wisconsin Poncho. We are huge Packer fans in our house and clothes made out of cheese definitely made my kids laugh.

Of course with kids’ music, parent likability is important. If I don’t like the music, then it doesn’t get played too often. Personally, I liked the Infinity Sock.  The songs have thoughtful lyrics. From typical children questions to whimsical fantasy, the Infinity Sock covers it all. I will make sure that this DVD is in the van for the next road trip.

In addition to the music, the accompanying cartoons will make you giggle. These drawing expertly animate the story being told.

Gustafer Yellowgold’s Infinity Sock DVD can be purchased online at http://www.gustafer-store.net/guyeinso.html. It retails for $19.99.

If you are in the Chicago area, make sure to attend Gustafer Yellowgold’s performances of the Infinity Sock on Saturday, June 25 at Schubas Tavern.
