Get Ready to Race with the premier of Handy Manny's Big Race

In our house we watch a lot of Playhouse Disney. One of my kids' favorite shows (as well as my husband's) is Handy Manny.

Handy Manny is show about a handy man and his talking tools. The show focuses on working together as a team to solve problems. In addition to lessons on teamwork, Manny and his tools teach Spanish words and phrases.

On Saturday, March 20 Playhouse Disney is premiering Handy Manny's Big Race. The premier is a 7:00 – 7:30 PM ET/PT

In our house, we're hosting a premier party for friends. Right now we're working on the menu and games. Luckily Playhouse Disney has tons of fun ideas for your party or just for your family to have fun. With games, recipes and crafts, there is an entertaining idea for everyone.

Here are some ideas from the Playhouse Disney website to make your movie night with Handy Manny's Big Race a fun one:

• Create a Handy Manny menu for the big premier. Some ideas include, Manny's Energy Mix, Manny's Mini-wheel Racing Wheel Burgers or traffic light gelatin. These are simple recipes that the kids and I can make together.

• My kids and I made some winner's flags. There are some print-out versions on Playhouse Disney or use black and white construction paper, a paint stick and a stapler to create your own. We made our own and it was super easy.

• We have started work on our race cars too. Click here to download the guide. If you don't want to create your own car, get a bunch of Hot Wheels or other cars and pick one for each family member or guest. Create a simply course and see who will be the winner. Maybe the winner will get a special treat or trophy.

No matter what your family does, the important thing is spending time together. So take a break on Saturday night and enjoy Handy Manny's Big Race on Disney Channel at 7 pm. est.
