Culvers, Mindful Choices program, helping your healthy eating routine in 2012 review/giveaway

Did you over indulge during the holidays? I couldn't say no to the pie, sweets and extra helpings on the buffet tables. Needless to say that I have some major work to do in the next coming weeks. Keeping my eating on track is important to me. I appreciate convenience restaurants that support my healthy eating lifestyle.

Culvers offers the Mindful Choices program. This program offers many menu options that are at or under 500 calories. For example, the Beef Pot Roast Value Basket with mashed potatoes and gravy with a medium unsweetened ice tea is just 500 calories. I don't know about you, but that sounds like a lot of food for 500 calories.

Other Mindful Choice options include a ButterBurger Original, a side salad with raspberry vinaigrette and a medium diet soda. If you aren't a beef person, check out the chicken value basket with florentine soup and medium diet soda. For all the Mindful Choices options visit http://www.culvers.com/menu/MindfulChoices.aspx.

Can't wait to try a Mindful Choices meal? Culvers graciously has given me 5 Mindful Meal vouchers to giveaway. Please use the Rafflecopter form to enter.

Culvers gives its chicken a healthy makeover

As a mom of growing boys, I want to make sure the food that they eat is good for them. Since we occasionally need to eat on the go, I would prefer for the boys to have healthier options for their fast food meals.

Culvers understands parents concerns about children eating better. The Culvers Scoopie meals now feature premium chicken tenders that are antibiotic free. Culvers also improved the Grilled and Crispy Chicken Sandwiches and Buffalo Chicken Tenders to include the new antibiotic free chicken.

This antibiotic free chicken comes from Springer Mountain Farms in Georgia, a subsidiary brand of Fieldale Farms. Culvers believes that Springer Mountain Farms attention to humane farming and fresh quality translates to Culver’s most flavorful chicken ever.

To celebrate Culvers new menu, it is launching the "Strut Your Stuff” Facebook contest. This Facebook contest Culvers fans can upload their chicken dance-inspired videos for a chance to win free Culver's food for a year (a $350 value). Just for uploading a video, participants will receive a coupon for a buy-one, get one free coupon for a new, premium chicken sandwiches. For more information on this contest, please see www.culvers.com/facebook

So head over to Culvers to try their new premium chicken. I doubt that you will be disappointed.
