Chi-TAG, so many toys, my Christmas lists are set

This past weekend was the Chicago Toy and Game fair (Chi-TAG). My family and I attended the event and were in awe of all the great new toys for the holiday shopping lists. With so many exhibits, it's hard to pick a favorite, but here are a few highlights from the event.

Slingers by Upper Deck: Marvel Slingers is a game of skill and strategy. Use a toy similar to a yo-yo to pick up medallions and score points. Battle against friends or practice by yourself. Each Slingers Starter Pack comes with 1 Collectible Marvel Slinger and 3 medallions. Collect medallions, create your teams, and battle against your friends!

Perplexus: PERPLEXUS is a maze game where players maneuver a small marble around challenging barriers inside a transparent sphere. This game challenges eye-hand coordination and concentration. It was selected as one of Parents Magazine's Top Toys of 2010.

Action Mat Football: Known as the newest Mancave Football Game, this game replicates real football strategy with real football action. From kick-offs to touchdowns, compete against friends to see the ultimate winner.

Reverse Charades Junior: A new twist to a classic game. One person is the guesser and the team acts out the clues. Great party game.

Zoo Panic: Need a game for all ages?  Help get all the animals back to their cages. No reading required.

These are just a few of the many toys that were shown at Chi-TAG. I'll be sharing more toys as we all get ready for the holiday shopping season.

CHI-TAG is coming, check out the hot new toys - giveaway

CHI-TAG is the America's largest toy and game fair open to the public. During the weekend of November 19 and 20, Navy Pier is full of toys, games and fun for the whole family.

Last year my family and I attended CHI-TAG. My boys absolutely loved seeing the new toys and even getting to play with some of them. Needless to say, their Christmas lists were full by the end of the day.

The whole weekend is an amazing time to get the family interested in games and spending time together. Maybe you can find a fun family game for weekly game night or an educational game to keep your kids focused on school. The possibilities are endless.

CHI-TAG has several special events throughout the weekend.

Here's list of special events for the weekend.

  • Star Wars Breakfast,
  • stage events,
  • life-sized toys and games,
  • Young Inventor Challenge,
  • costumed characters,
  • mind-bending tournaments
