Military families get back after years of sacrifice #DEcares

Certain aspects of our daily lives are taken for granted. While many can debate the complexities of our government, certain inherit liberties are afforded to every person. Unlike other struggling nations, we do not have to fight for these rights. Secure in our system, our military service men, women and their families sacrifice to help others to obtain these liberties. These sacrifices come not just in their jobs, but the time away from their families. Direct Energy wants to thank these men, women and their families by offering them ways to save money.

Direct Energy is offering a new Military Portal for veterans and active military service members. Depending on the service area, the military personnel will be eligible for exclusive discounted rates on electricity, natural gas or both. In the Direct Energy Military Portal, users will use their military ID to access the discounted rates.

Like many others, the heart warming stories of service men and women coming home to their families bring tears to my eyes. But these happy moments come at great expense. For every homecoming, there are many missed birthdays, holidays and other special moments. These occasions will forever be missed. Fighting for the liberties of others across the globe can create hardships at home. Still, these men and women wake up each day and perform their duties to the best of their abilities. Offering a discount on a household necessity is the least that a company could do.

Regardless of political beliefs, religious beliefs or other affiliations, gratitude toward service men and women should be paramount. As a wife of veteran, I have witnessed my husband's sacrifices. Whenever the national anthem is played, the moment is full of reverence for those who came before and after him. For just a moment, a quiet moment of gratitude is the least that can be given.

Thank you Direct Energy giving back to those who gave selflessly.

Disclosure:  Thank you to Direct Energy for sponsoring today’s post and inspiring me to help out the military veterans in my community.

  17. Thanks for the Fantastic Review on Military families get back after years of sacrifice #DEcares! I enjoyed the read! Military families are always on my mind, considering that my Son-In-Law is a SGT. in the Army and my daughter and grandchildren live with him now on Fort Campbell in KY! It's difficult when your child lives so far away and that you don't always hear from them. I keep up on the kids via Skype, however, it's just not the same! He just got another promotion and plans on making the Army a career. He has been to Afghanistan twice already and there was word that they may be sending him back there. God, I hope not! The last time he was there, he had too many "almost" situations and our entire family pray every day that he is away! It's a stressful job, but I guess only a few feel the necessity to serve. I love what the company does for the military families and helps them out the best that they know how! I know that I appreciate it! Thanks so much for sharing your fantastic review and all the personal and professional information with all of us! I honestly do appreciate it! Thanks again so much! Michele :)

  23. Thanks so much for the Fantastic Review on More 4 Mom's Buck: Military families get back after years of sacrifice #DEcares! I know what you are talking about because my oldest daughter is married to a SGT. in the Army and they live on Fort Campbell in KY! It definitely isn't the easy life, that's for sure! My son-in-law has been deployed twice to Afghanistan! I hope he doesn't go back because his 2nd tour, he had too many close calls! When you are at home and they are overseas, all you can do is pray! I don't know if my Daughter is aware of this deal or not, but, I'll definitely mention it to her the next time we speak! Thanks so much for sharing your fantastic review and all the information you provided us with! I truly honestly do appreciate it! Thanks Again! Michele :)
