Turn off the stove, National Dine Out Week presented by Restaurant.com

I received a Restaurant.com gift card for this post. This post was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own.

Personally, I am always looking for a reason to eat out. From no dishes to wash to eating hot food, dining out affords me a few luxuries that I don't get at home. When my restaurant bill goes to a worthy cause, I'm more likely to pile the kids in the car and head out to diner.

Now through October 12, Restaurant.com is hosting the second annual National Dine Out Week. This celebration is dedicated to support local, independently owned restaurants and to drive awareness in supporting local communities.

Eating at a local restaurant can assist many companies in your community. Beyond patronage of the restaurant, eating local can help local farms, grocers and companies. By keeping your hard earned dollars within your community, everyone benefits.

To raise excitement and awareness about National Dine Out Week, Restaurant.com is hosting a sweepstakes. Each entrant has a chance to win hundreds of prizes including Restaurant.com eGift cards and a donation in their name to a local food pantry.

If you aren't familiar with Restaurant.com, this company is the nation's largest dining deals website. While supporting independently-owned restaurants nationwide, Restaurant.com strives to bring people together over well-prepared, affordable meals.

It's time to ditch the prep and dine out. Join the thousands of restaurants nationwide for National Dine Out Week.

  5. I wish I could use a restaurant.com card. None of our restaurants accept them in my area. :(
