Imagine, design and create with GeoMag - review

With school age children, I am always looking for toys, games or gadgets that combine fun and learning. While I like items with educational benefits that are obvious (think 500 facts books or multiplication tables), the kids would rather play. School time is for learning and play time is for fun. Luckily, there are a few favorite toys that sneak in the learning without the kids realizing.

A great toy for school age children is GeoMag. If you aren't familiar with this building toy, it contains a variety of pieces and magnets that promotes building. Different from brick building, these building sets allow designs to go wild.

With bright magnetic rods and steel balls, kids play while grasping the principles of physics, geometry and magnetism. Instead of just vertical or horizontal designs, the GeoMag can create spheres, cylinders and more. The possibilities are great.

GeoMag offers a variety of sets. Each of these sets can work with other sets in the line.

I would recommend that these set for families that have older children. The magnetic rods and steel balls could be difficult around younger children.

GeoMag can be purchased online at http://www.reevesintl.com or at other retailers. There are several sets in different colors and amounts of pieces.

Don't fight with your kids about learning math, geometry or science. Tell them to play with GeoMag and everyone will be happy.
