Summer is heating up with charting bands and delicious food trucks at Oswego Beats & Eats - giveaway

Before the kids head back to school, it is time to enjoy the dog days of summer. Everyone wants to be enjoying the sunshine. It is time to jam to good music and indulge in delicious bites. The newest addition to the summer festival scene is Oswego Beats and Eats.

On August 10, Prairie Park in Oswego will be the place to hear today's hottest bands and eat some of the area's best food. From noon till 10 pm, the park will be a family friendly event to remember.

With two stages, the musical line up can't be beat. Headliners for the event include: Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors and Red Wanting Blue. There are national regional and local bands that will be performing on two stages. All musical genres will get everyone up on their feet and grooving.

After dancing the day away to great music, the delicious tastes from the various food trucks will appease your hunger. From light bites to summer fare, everyone will get to enjoy the flavors of summer.

In addition to the hot music and delicious foods, the event will benefit several local charities. These charitable organizations include Chicago Bears Care, the Wounded Warriors Project, the Kendall County Food Pantry and others local charities. Several former Chicago Bears players will be on hand to introduce the performers.

Event founder, former Chicago Bear, Macey Brooks has a primary goal for this event. It is to "create a music festival that will showcase Oswego and enhance the cultural diversity of the Village." Mr. Brooks believes "our community and businesses in this town are unique and special and deserve a platform to reach new customers and partners."

Oswego Beats & Eats will be held on Saturday, August 10 from noon till 10 pm. The event will be held rain or shine. Tickets for the event are $15 in advance and $25 at the door. Children 12 and under are free.

The event will be held at Prairie Point Park in Oswego. Some VIP onsite parking is available for a $5 purchase or free shuttle parking is available.
