For many smartphone or tablet users, Bejeweled is a popular game. The frenzy of collapsing gem stacks can keep players occupied for hours. In Bejeweled Frenzy, the digital game is transformed into a fast, paced card game.

Bejeweled Frenzy, by Hasbro, brings the concept of Bejeweled into a game for the whole family. The goal of the game is to score the most points by matching gems.

The rules of the game are simple. First, each player is a dealt a card face up. As players take turns, they choose a card from the stack. Cards are placed horizontally in front of each player in a card chain. Once three gems in a row are matched, that series of cards can be collapsed. The first player to collapse a gem stack received the gem. At the end of the game, points are awarded for both the gems collected and the number of cards in a stack. The player with the most points wins.

Our family likes Bejeweled Frenzy because it travels well. During the busy summer months, we appreciate games that can easily travel. This game comes in a convenient travel case/game board. Whether we are at a swim meet or away on vacation, the game can be played anywhere.

The concept of the game is easy for kids and adults to master. The quick matching helps to keep the game moving. Since many players are familiar with the electronic game, it can be learned too.

Bejeweled Frenzy is recommended for ages 8 and up and can be played by 2 to 4 players. The game retails for $14.99 at many mass merchants and online at the Hasbro Toy Shop.
