Disney on Ice, Rockin' Ever After, gets families grooving - review

The Disney characters you know and love are back with a new show in Disney on Ice Rockin Ever After. The new touring production features several familiar Disney princess stories and the newest heroine Merida from Brave.

From the moment the lights dim, kids (and adults) are ready for an action packed show. Once Mickey and Minnie take to the ice, guests are grooving in their seats to the upbeat music and favorite Disney tunes.

What I liked about this show was the addition of some popular songs from my generation. It brings a smile to my face to see the mermaids dancing to Vogue and Girls Just Want to Have Fun.While the Disney characters and songs are at the heart of the show, it is nice to see other twists added to the compilation.

Here is a synopsis of what to expect from the show. "Jam to a Scottish jig as a group of royal contenders from the latest Disney•Pixar film, Brave, competes to win the heart of headstrong, sharp-shooting Merida, making her ice debut! Experience a show-stopping performance as Sebastian breaks out of his shell for one night only to make waves with Ariel. A chorus of harmless hooligans from Tangled unleashes musical mayhem when they get a visit from the sassy and spirited Rapunzel and her charming ally Flynn. And, get your feet moving as the Beast and his castle’s enchanted entourage take center stage in a spectacular show for Belle

It will be a rockin’ remix of royalty when Disney On Ice brings this superstar line-up to Chicagoland! Head to the United Center Jan. 30-Feb. 10 with FREE PARKING in all official arena parking lots."

  2. It's been such a long time since I have seen an Ice Skating show. It would be fun to see one again, and even more fun, one that is being put on by Disney. Thanks for the fantastic review.
