As the holidays come close, it is time to think about others. The idea of lending a hand or giving back to others is a paramount at this time of year. Being grateful for what we have is an important lesson to teach our children.
McDonalds is encouraging its customers to give a hand to the Ronald McDonald House charities. From November 10 through November 20, customers can show their support in a variety of ways.
In McDonalds stores, customers can purchase a paper hand for $1, $3 or $5. All denominations make a difference to a charitable organization.
If you aren't in a position to provide monetary support, your family can participate in the Give A Hand Online Sweepstakes. Submit a photo with an inspirational message supporting Ronald McDonald House charities. What can you say with your hand? Make a smile, write a note, and express yourself.
Upload your hand photo to GiveAHandMcDonalds.com, you’re automatically entered to win $50 for yourself and a $500 donation to a local RMHC Chapter. One lucky winner will be selected each day of the sweepstakes! We also ask that you share your photo with family and friends on Twitter and/or Facebook.
Each year, more than four million families with critically ill children rely on RMHC’s services to stay together in their time of need.
