See if this scenario sounds familiar. It's
about 3:30. In 30 minutes the kids will get off the bus and it will be
time to quickly made dinner before weeknight sports practice begins.
What can be made quickly that isn't overly processed, microwaved meal?
Try Campbell's Skillet Sauces for dinner.
Campbell's
Skillet Sauces are a great alternative to frozen dinners and take-out.
It's a simple, fast way to create a meal that the whole family will
enjoy. Simply brown the chicken in a skillet, add a sauce and your meal
is complete. Less than 30 minutes and you are sitting at the table with a
delicious meal.
With
six flavors to choose, there is a sauce that your family can enjoy.
Flavors include Marsala with Mushrooms, Toasted Sesame, Thai Green
Curry, Fire Roasted Tomatoes, Scampi and Creamy Chipotle.
Last
week my family tried the Campbell Skillet Sauces for dinner. We like
spicy, bold flavors so we opted for the Creamy Chipotle with Roasted
Corn & Black Beans. The best part about this dinner, besides being
easy to prepare, was that I could pile extra vegetables into my dinner.
It
can be a struggle to get kids to eat more veggies. This single skillet
meal is perfect to sneak a few extra peppers, mushrooms and onions into
the dish. With the creamy sauce, it was easy to hide the extra. Piled on
top a dish of rice, I had a complete meal that my whole family
enjoyed.
For
those who might be concern that the chipotle would be too spicy. The
creaminess of the sauce offsets the heat from the peppers. This sauce
works for all flavor profiles.
While
this sauce is intended to be added to chicken or veggies, I think that
would be great with leftover turkey. I would add cold, leftover turkey
to the skills to reheat slightly. Once warm, I would add turkey. The
sauce would be a perfect solution to the dreaded leftover turkey
sandwich.
