Kashi soft baked square, chocolate treats with less guilt- review

I have a problem. I love desserts. My biggest craving is anything chocolate. Unfortunately, my love of chocolate discounts all the hard work that I do at the gym. It can be so disheartening to spend 60 minutes on a spin bike to have it all wiped away by a flour-less chocolate cake. What I have noticed is that my son has inherited my love of dessert. Since I don't want him to have too many high calorie items at a young age, we are both making an effort to indulge occasionally, but with items that are a little better for our lifestyle. One new treat that we both like is Kashi Soft Baked Squares.

Kashi Soft Baked Squares are yummy soft baked snack. These are made with agave and chocolate but contain no high-fructose corn syrup. There is 4g of fiber and 10g of whole grain in each bar. Also, there are 300mg ALA Omega-3.  Most importantly they are full of chocolately goodness.

My son likes to bring these squares in his school lunch. Since each one is individually wrapped it is perfect for school lunches. He tells me that it tastes like a brownie to him. With the fewer calories and extra fiber, I don't feel as guilty giving him this treat in his lunchbox.

This year for Halloween we are even thinking of handing these goodies out instead of candy. Hopefully, the kids will like getting this soft baked squares as treats instead of the high sugar, high calorie candy bars.

Kashi offers a variety of products for kids and adults. From cereals to frozen foods, there is a something for every taste profile and personality.

So if you are looking to indulge without the guilt, check out Kashi Soft Baked squares next time you're grocery shopping.

Disclosure: I received a Kashi kit through a media campaign. All opinions are my own.
