Wendy's Father's Day and Frosty, giving back to those in need

Everywhere you turn, people are talking about Father's Day. From gifts to grills and brunches to baseball, it seems that everyone is concerned about what to give and what to do this Father's Day weekend. But what if your actions could help a child in need. For our family, we look for opportunity to support those who cannot support themselves. This Father's Day weekend, Wendy's is helping children through the Father's Day Frosty Weekend.

What is Father's Day Frosty Weekend?  Wendy's asks its customers and supporter to take action to help the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. In the past 4 years, Wendy's has raised $8 million to support a component of the foundation, Wendy's Wonderful Kids, a program that finds permanent adoptive homes for children in foster care.

How can you pledge your support of these charity programs this Father's Day weekend?  Here is how you can participate.

·         Re-tweet: Starting now through Father’s Day, customers can re-tweet one of @Wendys special Twitter posts with the hashtag #TreatItFwd. Wendy’s will make a 50-cent donation for each designated re-tweet made from Treat it Forward. Follow @Wendys at https://twitter.com/wendys.

·         Buy any Frosty product: On Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17, for each Frosty product purchased, participating Wendy’s will donate 50-cents to Wendy’s Wonderful Kids.  This includes the original, parfaits, shakes and floats.

·         Use a mobile-friendly website to check in at Wendy’s: Wendy’s will donate 50-cents for every customer that checks in at Wendy’s restaurants during Father's Day Weekend (June 16 and 17 only) using Wendy’s special mobile-friendly website found at www.wendys.com/treatitforward.

Let's turn Father's Day weekend into more than a single family celebration. Head to Wendy's or connect online and give some children a better start for their future.
