Lighting fast reflexes make you king of Bop It! Smash - review/giveaway

When there is one piece of pizza left in the box can you grab it first?  Is there someone else in the family that can challenge your lightning fast reflexes?  Put the family glory on the line with Bop It! Smash.

Everyone has come to love the original Bop It. It has become a Family Game Night classic. The concept is a simple; to win have the best reaction time.

With Bop It Smash, the classic game is taken a step further. The lights move across the unit. When the light appears in the center circle (aka The Zone), smash the ends of the unit. Earn points in each round. As the game progresses, you need to improve your timing. The lights move in different patterns and at different speeds.

Bop It Smash can be played three ways, solo, pass it or multi-player. With multi-player play, you can grab up to 6 friends to play against one another.  The player who gets 'in the zone' the most will win. 1 point for green and 2 points for blue. Who will be the person to have the most points? It's never who you expect.

Personally, I like the solo game. The concept is a fun way to improve your concentration and reaction time. We took our game on a weekend road trip. It was fun to hear the kids play in the backseat (no video games or movies this trip). It kept them occupied and engaged. By the end of the trip, the kids got through at least three rounds on a regular basis (unfortunately, I'm still on round 2). And, for the noise concerned parents, the sound was totally bearable during a long trip, but I do suggest "quiet" setting.

Bop It! Smash is available at mass merchandise retailers nationwide staring in June. The game is for 1+ players. It requires 3 AAA Alkaline batteries. Demo batteries included. This game is recommended for ages 8 and up.
