Mat Kearney's new album, Young Love another smash hit

One of my favorite songs has been Nothing to Lose by Mat Kearney. The lyrical profoundness coupled with hypnotic melodies made this song a constant on my iPhone playlist. When I have time to listen on my own, I want developed, well written songs. Mat Kearney provides adult contemporary that lasts over time.

Now, Mat Kearney has released his latest album, Young Love. Very simply put, if you liked Nothing to Lose, you will fall in love with Young Love.

Mat Kearney has produced an album that is a great listen. Some songs are up beat and engaging and others are soulful and memorable. Young Love has become part of iPod workout list. Usually I go for more dance, fast beat songs, but Young Love keeps me moving and it's lyrics make me think. These songs aren't computer produced, highly mixed studio releases. Kearney shows that strong song writing and confident singing are a powerful combination.

My two favorite songs from Young Love are Ships in the Night and Hey Mama. Hey Mama is an fast paced, jovial song that will get your foot tapping. While Ships in the Night shows Kearney's softer side with poignant references to the difficulties in relationships.

From end to end, Young Love by Mat Kearney will stand the test of time in my playlist. When an album remains fresh and never gets boring, I know that these songs I will be able to come back to time and time again.
