Frito-Lay & Choose Your Adventure Books, you control your fate, review and giveaway

Growing up I loved to read (and still love reading). One of my favorite types of books was choose your own adventure. I could read these books over and over because each choice created a new story. Some choices were great, being the hero, and others were dismal, my character gets eaten by the dragon. But I was in control of the story. Now, I'm passing this tradition onto my family.

Summer reading is so important to my family. We have been participating in our local library's summer reading program. To get the family interested in reading I tried to get books that we all could read together. One fun option for us was reading Choose Your Own Adventure Books.

During our bedtime reading, I would let the boys take turns choosing the direction of the stories. Being able to create the story kept my boys more interested in reading. Also, the decisions would spark additional discussions as to why an event occurred. It was helpful for reading comprehension. These books have become a favorite in our house.

Also, I've found that Choose Your Adventure Books are great for vacations. It's difficult to bring lots of books with us. Since these books have multiple endings, we can bring a book or two for night-time reading and still have great variety.

Frito Variety Packs is partnering with the Choose Your Own Adventure series. When you purchase Frito-Lay Variety Packs, you will receive a code to download three original digital Choose Your Own Adventure books online. When you're at the store, look for the special displays.

This summer, with our constantly busy schedule, Frito-Lay variety packs have been a constant in our house. Whether we're at the pool, park or partying with friends in the backyard, the variety packs have been our family's go to snack. With lots of choices, no one is fighting that he or she doesn't have his favorite Frito Lay snack.

Now, that you've read all my thoughts, here's what you've been waiting for - THE GIVEAWAY!  I have a $25 gift card and a boxed set of Choose Your Own Adventure books for a lucky reader.
