For the past 20 years, Naperville Public Library has had the summer battle of the books. These 40 titles have been carefully selected by 203 teachers and librarians. The list is a great resource for parents looking for titles for summer reading.
If your child is in a 203 fourth or fifth grade class, he can participate in the Battle of the Books.This program is a joint effort between Naperville Public Library, School District 203 schools and Anderson's Bookshop. The list of books can be found on the NPL website and displayed at the three library branches.

Those students who participate in summer reading programs scored higher on reading achievement tests at the beginning of the next school year versus those students who did not participate.
