Cablemover, taking the hassle out of your move, review/giveaway

Who likes moving? While there is excitement about a new home, there are many aspects to a move that are stressful. What if there was a service that made one part of your move, the technology aspect, extremely easy? That company is Cablemover.com.

Did you know that the average American has over 60 tasks to do to prepare for a move. As a parent, I'm guessing that our list is longer than 60. With so many tasks to handle, little items, like phone service and internet, can be pushed to the back burner.

Cablemover.com helps you to coordinate cable TV. phone and internet in one simple step. Cablemover.com shows you the best offers in your area. With one click, your family can coordinate all the new services that it needs with the best deals available in your new area.

Lisa LaPorta, HGTV designer, has offered some great tips for the users of cablemover.com. These three helpful ideas can cut down on the stress of a family move.

1. Plan Ahead: Think about it. What services are a must when you walk into your new home? Do you need a television with access to Cartoon Network or ESPN (which might make the kids or your husband less cranky). Having your cable service in place when the television is plugged in can help make your transition more smooth. Cablemover.com can coordinate all your services that your family might need when you walk into the door.

2. Why Move the Mess: How many of us have multiple remotes, tangled cables, and a hodgepodge of electronics. Before you just throw everything into a box, make sure that you label cables for easy assembly later (no one wants the argument - which cable goes where). Also, think about consolidating remotes. Multiple remotes can be confusing; or in some cases, can be misplaced by little hands. An universal remote could make like simpler.

3. Update and Upgrade: Designers have coined a new term, techorating. Moving can be a great time replace those old televisions and electronics with new, more energy efficient models. With slim designs and Energy Star rating, these new energy efficient models can save you monthly utility dollars every year.

These are just a few thoughts to help reduce the stress in your move.

To get you interested in trying Cablemover.com, I have a $25 e-certificate to Home Depot to give away.

My tip is to remember your previous move and how miserable it was. Then you'll probably think REALLY hard about whether it's really worth the hassle, and maybe you'll decide it's easier to stay where you are. A lot less trouble, and a whole lot cheaper :-)
