If your family is like ours, our kids love the Shedd Aquarium. But as a cost-conscious mom, a visit to the Shedd can deplete a large portion of the family entertainment budget on a single visit. So, our family takes advantage of the Community Discount Days.
During Community Discount Days, general admission is free, which includes the Waters of the World, Amazon Rising, and the Caribbean Reef. Special exhibits are at an additional charge. Packages including Wild Reef, Polar Play Zone and Oceanarium are available at a discounted rate. Also, be sure to see Fantsea and 4-D Adventure: Dora and Diego Catch that Butterfly.
The Community Discount Days for 2011 are:
Jan. 10, 11, 24, 25
Feb. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 28
Community Discount Weeks are Jan. 16-24 and Feb. 20-24.
From January through March 11, 2011, the Shedd Aquarium is open on weekdays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
