Zhu Zhu Wild Bunch aren't your mom's Zhu Zhu pets

Those cute little hamsters are at it again. Now they have gone WILD. 

Zhu Zhu pets have launched the newest version of their pets, Zhu Zhu Pets the Wild Bunch. These little guys aren't hamsters, they are rabbits, raccoons, hedgehogs, and even a skunks. 

Mom Select graciously gave my family a box of the Wild Bunch Zhu Zhu Pets to share with our friends. In our box was ZuZu, the hedgehog, Sweetie, the rabbit, Rocco the raccoon, and Stinker, the skunk. Of course, my boys loved Stinker - what boy doesn't love silly jokes that go with a skunk.


Last weekend, we invited all our friends over to play with the new Wild Bunch. Some of our friends had Zhu Zhu Pets at home and others were new to the Zhu Zhu Universe. With both boys and girls included in our gathering, we got totally different ways of playing with the animals.

The boys let the Wild Bunch run through our Kung Zhu training grounds. They did great and are ready to battle Sarge and our other Zhu Zhus. My boys loved the idea of different animals battling in the battle arena. It was fun to see which animal was supreme - rabbit or raccoon, skunk or hedgehog.


The girls liked to let the Sweetie and Zu Zu scamper around the floor. They would pet them and try to figure out the animal phrases and sounds.

After the party, we asked our friends to send us pictures how their new Wild Bunch pets area settling in at their houses. Some made little homes, others let them hide under books, and some just let the wild ones have the run of the house. 

The Wild Bunch can be purchased at Toys R Us, Target, Amazon.com and other retailers. The cost of a Wild Bunch animal start at $9.99. Additional accessories are available as well.  And, look for the Wild Bunch new video game to be released in October 2010.
