Calling all Star Wars fans. LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Schaumburg is celebrating everything Star Wars this weekend.
There are numerous special events through LEGOLAND including the following:
- Build a mini Star Wars Millennium Falcon that is specially designed by LEGOLAND's Master Model Builder. For $1 donation to Merlin's Magic Wand, your little builder can take his creation home.
- Help the Master Model Builder construct an eight-foot model of Yoda
- Have your picture taken with life-sized LEGO Darth Vader and LEGO R2-D2 models.
- Search for the 500 clone trooper and battle droid mini-figures located in MINILAND, the exhibit of Chicago's iconic buildings.
- Participate in a scavenger hunt to find ten characters hidden throughout MINILAND. All submission will be eligible to win 4 free annual passes to LEGOLAND
- On both Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22 at 2 p.m., there will be a STAR WARS costume contest. Each age group winner will receive a General Grievous Starfighter Model Set (Age groups are 1-6, 7-12, and 13+). While supplies last, participants will receive a very rare White Bob Fett mini-figure.
- The LEGOLAND store will be offering special sales on various STAR WARS merchandise. Sale items include, 10% discounts applicable to most STAR WARS merchandise in the gift shop. (Excluding LEGO Death Star), buy one get one free on all STAR WARS t-shirts, and a free STAR WARS key chain with a purchase of $75 or more (while supplies last).
