Halloween is almost here. With all the excitement building for trick or treats on Saturday, keep your family busy with some other fun offering leading up to this weekend's excitement.
Below is a list of free or cost effective events for the family in and around Naperville.
Wednesday, October 28 4-4:30 p.m. Black Light Theater at Nicholas Library. Join the library staff for story time set in a darkened room with glow in the dark puppets. This storytime is recommended for children 3 or older. A caregiver must attend with the child.
Friday, October 30 4:30 - 5:15 p.m. Halloween Spook-tacular at the Riverwalk Amphitheater. Join the Naperville Public Library for Halloween stories and a puppet show along the Riverwalk. Children are welcome to wear their costumes.
Friday, October 30 4-7 p.m. Bass Pro Shops will be offering trick or treating throughout the store. There will be a costume parade at 6 p.m. Offer available while supplies last. Check with your local Bass Pro Shops for availability.
Friday, October 30 5-8:30 p.m. Fanged Creature Double Feature at 95th Street Library. This vampire fest for teen will be showing two movies. The first of the double feature will be the 1931 classic Dracula starring Bela Lugosi. The second feature will be Twilight, starring Robert Pattinson. There will be a brief intermission between movies and refreshments will be provided.No registration required.
Saturday, October 31 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. Michaels the Knack Free Halloween Event Each child will receive a free treat or trick pail, balloon and Halloween candy. Also there will be a Crayola coloring activity, Free Crayola pencil topper demo with Crayola model magic and a Make It Take It Halloween picture frame. Offer is available while supplies last. Check with your local Michaels location for availability.
Saturday, October 31 Noon- 4 p.m. Bass Pro Shops Children can create a Halloween mask in the store. There will be marshmallow roasting and apple cobbler to sample. Offer available while supplies last. Check with your local Bass Pro Shops for availability.
