More on Mondays a weekly list of family events in Naperville

Now that the fall has arrived, the Naperville area has many fun family activities. Below is a list of activities from October 5 through October 12.

Monday, October 5 Monarch Reading Club will be held at 4:00 p.m. at the Nicolas Library. The Monarch Reading Club is for children kindergarten through third grade. Children will read stories and do some arts and crafts. Registration is required for this event. Please register at the NPL website.

Monday, October 5 Super Heroes Unite will be held at 4:00 p.m. at the 95th Street Library. This event is for children in kindergarten through third grade without a caregiver. Come dressed as your favorite super hero and listen to stories, games and other activities about your favorite super heroes. No registration required.

Monday, October 5 It's Pajamara Time will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Nicolas Library. This weekly evening story time will focus on night time and bedtime stories. Children are encouraged to wear pajamas and bring their pillows and stuffed animals. No registration is required.

Tuesday, October 6Monarch Reading Club will be held at Naper Blvd. library location at 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday, October 6 It's Pajamara Time! will be held at 95th St library location at 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, October 7 World of Wheels Children offers children ages 1 through 5 the opportunity to see, touch and experience some community vehicles and meet the community helpers who drive them. The free event takes place at Knoch Park Garden Plot parking lot from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Naperville Park District.

Thursday, October 8 Super Heroes Unite will be held at 4:00 p.m. at Naper Blvd library. This event is for children in kindergarten through third grade without a caregiver. Come dressed as your favorite super hero and listen to stories, games and other activities about your favorite super heroes. No registration required.

Friday, October 9 Ghost Stories in the Park in the Dark is presented by the Naperville Park District. This outdoor event at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion presents hair raising tails, poems and songs to get everyone in the mood for Halloween. Children under 5 are not recommended. Shows are held Fridays and Sundays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Limited tickets are available at the show but tickets can purchased through the Naperville Park District website. Cost is $7.00 per person. No refunds.

Saturday, October 10 Lowes Build and Grow Clinic will be making a ball toss. Registration is required via the Lowes website.

Saturday, October 10 Hayrides The Naperville Park district will offer hayrides. Families may bring food to cook over the bonfire. The park district will provide hot chocolate and hot cider, but no alcohol is allowed. There will be picnic tables but families are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets and flashlights as well as insect repellent. The cost for this event is $7 for residents and $11 for non-residents. Children two and under are free. Registration is required.

Sunday, October 12 Danada Fall Festival will be held from 11:00 a.m. till 5 p.m. at the Danada Equestrian Center. The festival will have a parade of horses, pumpkin carving, face painting, and horse riding demonstrations. For additional information contact the Danada Equestrian Center.
