Johansen's Farm is perfect a family pumpkin patch visit

Yes, it's cold and damp outside, but it's fall and Halloween is near. In our house, the beginning of October brings a visit to Johansen's Farm. My family loves our annual visits to the pumpkin patch.

Johansen's Fall Festival is located at 710 W. Boughton Road in Bolingbrook. The farm is open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Entrance to the pumpkin patch is free. Children can roam the over 25,000 pumpkins to pick out just the right one for your family. Also, there is a picture taking spot for the perfect family photo.

Besides the pumpkins, Johansen's Farm offers a petting zoo. The petting zoo cost is $7.50 on weekdays and $12.50 on the weekends. Children 23 months and younger are free. Coupons are available for $1 off admission.

On the weekends, Johansen's Farms offers so many fun special activities. Included in admission to the petting zoo are:

  • Free pony rides, train rides at pumpkin junction, hayrides, two story airslides, jump in the giant castle, toddler slide, Toddler Junction playroom, and Noah's Ark Challenge

Available every day attractions include: corn maze, fun in the hay tunnel, goat mountain, rabbit hotel, and over 500 animals.

So before it gets too late, take the short drive over to Johansen's Farm. Your family won't be disappointed.
