Sauza-ritas, flank steak and good friends make a festive party

Disclosure: Sauza Tequila provided me with a variety of beverages to serve at my party. All opinions are my own.

What do you get when friends gather over good food and delicious drinks? A fun welcome to the start of party season. This past Sunday, our family threw a Sauza inspired fiesta. With the better weather ahead, we wet our appetites on delicious drinks, flavorful flank steak and a little sweet treat to end it all.

Since Sauza was helping with the drinks, we had many options for our friends. If you aren't familiar, Sauza is a brand of tequila. The company offers a variety of tequilas and pre-mixed margarita beverages. As always, please use your best judgement when consuming alcoholic beverages.

Knowing my friends, I had no problem gathering a few to try some Sauza tequila beverages and share their honest opinions. With my bottle of Sauza Blue, limeade and freshly made pineapple juice, I knew that the Sauza Pineapple Chipotle Margarita would be a hit. The sweetness of the pineapple offsets the acidity of the limeade. The little kick from the chipotle hits the palate after you swallow. The combination left many an empty glass. The biggest comment from the night was that these margaritas are very smooth to drink. By the looks of the empty glasses, I knew we had a hit.

Want to try it for yourself? Here's the recipe.

Sauza Pineapple Chipotle Margarita
8 parts Sauza Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila
8 parts frozen limeade
16 parts pineapple juice
8-10 dashes Tabasco Chiptole Hot Sauce
9 pineapple slices (for garnish)

Preparation: In a pitcher filled with ice, combine Sauza Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila, limeade, pineapple juice and Tabasco Chiptole Hot Sauce. Stir gently. Garnish with a pineapple slice (optional).
Serves 9

While everyone likes a good margarita, right now I'm obsessed with bubbles. From sparking wine to sparkling water, I like the pop and fizz of carbonation. The Sauza Sparkling Margaritas were my must try. These ready to serve margaritas come in original lime, mango peach, wild berry and watermelon. For me, I think these drinks a must have for a summer party. The bubbles make it festive and girly. The taste is light citrus yet not overly acidic. I can see enjoying these drinks on the patio.

Our Sauna-inspired party was rousing success - see picture of empty bottles. With recipes in hand and a new appreciation for tequila, our summer is going to be festive!
