Restaurant.com asked me to share its opinions on 2014 restaurant trends.
Having the same, tired old meal can be boring. In 2014, take your next restaurant meal to a new level by trying some of the restaurant trends.
Break free from the same-old dining routine in 2014 and try something new with the help of Restaurant.com. To help you start your own dining adventures, Restaurant.com has compiled the 3 hottest trends to conquer at local restaurants near you. Resident trend-guru, Restaurant.com President and Chief Marketing Officer Christopher Krohn provided his predictions that will grace our plate in 2014. With these trends, you’re sure to have a spicy year, but only if you dare!
1. It's all about the egg
In a restaurant setting, eggs are just for breakfast. A beautifully poached egg can make a decadent sauce for a salad or pasta. Maybe your hamburger is screaming for a egg on top. Make 2014 an egg-tastic year.
2. Farm to Table, or farm to fork
Knowing your farmer can make all the difference in your meal. Many chefs are focusing on locally grown produce and local raised proteins. Understanding how the meal's ingredients were raised can make a dish sing with flavor. Check out some of the menus too. Many chefs are sharing where they received their ingredients. It might inspire you to try a new flavor, vegetable or dish.
3. Tea isn't just a drink
While we were enveloped in bitter cold, a warm glass of tea was comforting. But tea can be used for more than just a beverage. From a rub on your pork roast to a sauce for your chicken, tea has great versatility. Other dishes offer tea-smoked fish too. If you enjoy a glass of tea, you might love these tea-inspired options.
Restaurant.com offers a wide selection of restaurants that focus on the 2014 and classic favorites. Whether you want to push your boundaries or just want a delicious meal out, Restaurant.com has great location for you.
