Family movie day and Minion Munch Chex Party Mix - a fun combination, #MyBlogSpark Giveaway

Those little adorable Minions from Despicable Me 2 are working their magic on Chex Mix. The classic snack is getting a new twist thanks to these cute little characters. Don't worry - your family movie night won't be full of ill tasting jam. The Minion Munch Chex Mix Party Mix is a yummy treat that the whole family will love.

Our family enjoys family movie night. Usually a warm bowl of popcorn while snuggled on the couch and be a great idea. But the same bowl of popcorn can get stale. It is time to make a movie snack that has a great combination of sweet and salty in a single bowl.

During these long, cold winter days, our family has enjoyed a bowl of Minion Munch Chex Mix Party Mix while watching those little Minions from Despicable Me 2 save the day. Just watch out for the purple Minions, they aren't purple from the jam.

Ingredients:
2 cups Honey Nut Chex cereal
2 cups Chocolate Chex cereal
2 cups Banana Nut Cheerios cereal
1 cup dry-roasted peanuts
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup peanut butter (crunchy or creamy, personal preference)
1 cup freeze-dried banana chips (or dried banana chips)
1/2 cup candy-coated chocolate candies

Directions:
1. In large microwave bowl, measure cereals and peanuts.
2. In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter until melted, about 30 seconds. Stir in brown sugar and peanut butter; microwave 30 seconds longer or until mixture is boiling. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
3. Microwave uncovered on High about 3 minutes, stirring every minute, until mixture is glazed. Cool 5 minutes. Stir in dried bananas and candies. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.
