Be #Beano prepared this football snacking season

So football season is here and it is a reason to gather friends together while watching some competitive games. Of course, when people are together, there needs to be food. As the host, it is important to think about what you are serving and how it might effect your guests (I've had a house full of men during a chili contest, it took days of Fresh Wave to make it better.)

When it comes to appetizers, variety is key. A plate of vegetables with hummus, dip or other condiment can be healthy yet yummy. It is easy to prepare and quick to serve. Plus, it is a nice alternative to the typical chips and dip.

Personally, I like to go above and beyond with my offerings. This past weekend at our kick-off tailgate, we did jalapeno stuffed peppers (cored out jalapeno stuffed with a piece of sausage and cheese), wrapped in bacon and grilled. Again it goes to simple, easy and very flavorful.

If you are looking for a more formal, sit down type of appetizer, Asian inspired lettuce wraps. This recipe can be modified for a varied crowd. For example, if your guests don't like shrimp, substitute chicken. Plus, your guests might feel better about eating a dish with lots of veggies while they are having a beverage or two.

While all the appetizers are full of flavor and variety, it could cause a little problem or toot for some people. Sometimes the food items that we love can cause a little gas or bloat. Don't leave your guests in the lurch. Keep a few containers of Beano on hand to help out.

Beano. Beano contains a natural food enzyme that helps prevent gas before it starts. It is not a drug. Beano enables you to enjoy your favorite healthy food anywhere, without worrying about gas.
