The
idea of a big, memorable vacation can sound amazing, but can sometimes
be a daunting task. Numerous questions loom. Where should we go? How
much should we spend? What should we bring? Expedia travel expert and
travel blogger, Chris Staudinger offers some advice on all things travel
related.
Chris Staudinger is a world traveler and one half of the duo Captain and Clark (http://captainandclark.com/), a travel blog he writes with fiancee Tawny Clark. For two years, the
couple taught English in Korea and filmed travel shorts for Captain and
Clark while broadcasting on TripFilms and RVNN. For the past six years
they have traveled the world and produced travel videos both for their
own site and several high profile travel companies. They are currently
Expedia ViewFinders. Chris has made several television appearances,
including KING-TV and KREM-TV.
I had an opportunity to ask some questions to Chris and here are his answers.
How can a family save money on a vacation?
Bundling
all your vacation plans can save money. For example, using a travel
website or app like Expedia, families can plan flights and hotels in one
location. Often companies will offer specials or discounts when
bundling. Other options like all inclusive resorts can keep budgets in
check because meals, activities and other services can be included in a
single price.
Where are some hot family destinations?
Three
hot areas for families are Williamsburg, Virginia, San Diego,
California and Las Vegas. Williamsburg offers themed towns and
historical venues. San Diego offers fun family related attractions. Lad
Vegas offers sand buggies for family adventure.
How to do keep a child's attention?
A
few ideas to keep kids' attention is to plan your family's outings
around a meal. Kids who aren't fighting hunger are more likely to pay
attention to that museum guide. Also, plan breaks into your day. No one
functions well when he is over tired.
What are some of your must have travel accessories?
This travel expert makes sure to have his mobile device and laptop on his travels.
These
are just a few thoughts on family related travel? Do you have a tip
that you want to share? Are you planning a last minute vacation? Need
some extra cash for that next getaway? From Chris Staudinger, the Expedia Travel expert, I have $500 Expedia travel voucher to giveaway. Please use the Rafflecopter to enter.
