Even
though the weather is warm and kids are thinking of back to school, the
must have holiday toys are starting to heat up. From action packed, fast
moving thrills to imaginative, building sets that bring dream to life,
the list of hot new toys can fill any child's wishes.
Here are a few of my predictions for the hot holiday toys of 2013
While parents grew up with Rock'em Sock'em Robots, today's kids want more power. Battroborg motion allows the players to electronically control the robots in the ultimate battle. Whether you are playing against a friend or against the droid, you can jab, hook and knock his block off. Enter the 3 in 1 Battle Arena and take down your opponent in the final count. This game is recommended for ages 8 and up and the suggested retail price is $79.99. For more information please visit, Battroborg.com.
Building on the popular game series, Skylanders, the newest edition to the line adds a fun twist. SWAP Force allows for the players to customize his game pieces by swapping the top and bottom halved of the toys. All the characters from Skylanders Spyro's Adventure and Skylanders Giants can be used to play the new SWAP Force game. The additional characters give players more choices and more action in this Activision game. The game is scheduled to be release October 13, 2013.
HEXBUG:
Those scurrying, crawling creatures are set to climb. The new version of the HEXBUG Nano V2 can climb. Whether going vertical or upside, these little guys are taking it to new heights. If you are into the aquatic adventure, check out the Aquabots. These HEXBUGS can out swim even Michael Phelps.
RoboMe
What
if your iPhone had its own personality? Turn your iPhone into the
latest fusion of personality and technology with RoboMe. Plug your iPhone or iTouch into the RoboMe to have a buddy for all your fun. RoboMe retails for approximately $99.99.
Trains have been a favorite holiday toy. But parents often debate whether there is sufficient space to house the large track area. TOMY has come up with a solution, the Chuggington StackTrack. It is the only die-cast railway that can be built vertically. This innovative train track system lets kids build tall, spiraling layouts. The experts at TOMY achieved the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for World’s Tallest Toy Train Layout this spring at Grand Central Terminal in New York City. I don't suggest building a track quiet that tall in your house, but kids can dream big vertically with this toy. Sets retail at $29.99.
