In today's fast pace, technology driven society a smartphone, tablet and other electronic device are a constant part of daily life. These devices have a multitude of uses. From personal to business, the power down button is rarely used. Still, the question remains if the devices are being used to their fullest. AT&T Experience held an event where the users could see how these electronic devices can help with dining, fitness and more.
Did you know that there are numerous apps that can help make dinner reservations, select the perfect wine pairing and even track your daily activity? My afternoon at the AT&T store on Michigan Avenue gave me more fun apps to add to my repertoire. Here are a few of my favorites.
Opentable.com app
Last minute dinner plans have always been my downfall. Everyone is sitting around the pool and suddenly is hungry. Cooking is off the table and delivered pizza doesn't sound appealing. Using the Opentable.com app, our group can search for cuisine, location and compatible times. The app provides customer reviews, near-by attractions and even bonus points for making reservations. Use your compatible app store to download it.
Wine pairing apps
Did you know that there are apps to help you make the perfect food wine pairing? Whether you have a bottle that needs to be used or unsure what to serve with your meal, wine apps can come to your rescue. For example, a nice cabernet or merlot can work well with dessert. Or, a sparkling wine can pair well with light fruity desserts. Still in the end, your palate controls what you do and don't like. Use these apps as a suggestion list.
Galaxy S 4 phone, it's whatever proof
As a mom of swimmers, I am constantly worried about dropping my phone in a pool, getting drenched on the deck or some other catastrophe. The new Galaxy S4 phone, exclusively available at AT&T stores is whatever proof. From dropping the phone into water to being buried in the sand, this phone can withstand the harsh treatment. Now you can capture every moment and stay in touch no matter the situation with a phone that does it all.
What are some of your favorite apps, phones and tablets? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
