Olympic moments live in history - FIRST: The Story of the London 2012 Olympic Games

Every two years the world comes together to celebrate the best and brightest athletes. Some participants may be famous with tons of fans while others may be unknown to the world. We all gather to cheer their accomplishments, triumphs and sometimes disappointments. A new movie chronicles 12 first time Olympians and their experiences around the London Olympics.

On May 30, NCM Fathom Events, New Moon and U.S. Olympic Committee will present FIRST: The Story of the London 2012 Olympic Games” Cinema Event Features Stories from First-Time Olympic Athletes at select theaters nationwide. This movie follows a dozen of first time Olympians through their personal journeys.

Caroline Rowland directs this unprecedented behind-the-scenes moments to some of the world's most praised athletes. In addition to the athletes' stories, the movie incorporates sports imagery from inside London's Olympic Park. The concept is for the movie goer to gain a new perspective on the dreams and determination that compels these individuals to compete in the greatest sporting event in the world. 

 FIRST: The Story of the London 2012 Olympic Games movie event will be shown at 550 select movie theaters across the country.
