The holiday weekend is about to be here. Usually Labor Day weekend is full of grilling and togetherness. Unfortunately, many of us will be rained out this holiday weekend. What can you do with your family that doesn't involve a television or video game? How about a visit to a museum? Luckily this weekend is the monthly, Museums on Us.
Museums on Us is a program sponsored by Bank of America and Merrill Lynch. These customers can have free general admission access to several museums. There are over 150 institutions in 91 cities that participate in this program.
This special program will be held on Saturday, September 1 and Sunday, September 2. To receive free general admission, please bring a valid id and your Bank of America or Merrill Lynch card.
In Chicago, the following museums participate in the Museums on Us program:
Shedd Aquarium
Adler Planetarium
The Art Institute
Chicago History Museum
Museum of Contemporary Art
