Become a princess of the kingdom or a knight of the realm at Medieval Times - giveaway

As a mom of two boys, I often wonder if the tendency to think of wrapping paper tubes as swords is trait inherit to all little boys. When given time to pretend and play, I hear the rumblings of a battle. One shouts 'You are at my mercy' while the other retorts 'No, I will slay you with my sword.' Really, I'm not joking. During these quests, the kids run through the house, backyard and garage trying to slay the dragon, conquer the castle and of course, be the winning knight. When I was told that Medieval Times now offers knight training, I knew my boys would jump at the opportunity to become a real knight.
On Saturday and Sunday now through the end of September, the Medieval Times will offer princess and knight training for the kids. One hour before the dinner and show starts, the kids can get hands on training with the stars of the show.

Saturdays are for the regal ladies. Sundays are for the brave lads. Children ages 5-12 are invited to attend. All participants must wear close toed shoes.

The knight and princess training experience is included in the price of your tickets. Space for the training is limited and is available on a first come, first serve basis. Reservations for this pre-show event are not accepted, but it is recommended that you arrive early since space is limited.

Medieval Times transports its guest to medieval Spain. Each guest must cheer for their knight who is doing battle against a rival. These brave knights fight for the favor of the king and his princesses. One knight will prevail over all the others and receive the favor of the king.

In March, the Medieval Times show was revamped. While, for many, the draw is the jousting and sword play, intricate horse scenes and a hawk delight the crowds. My family has attended a Medieval Times show and was completely impressed. My children were on the edge of their seats for the entire performance. And, more importantly, I got a flower from our blue knight. After all, how often do I get a flower from a handsome knight.

During the show, guests dine on a medieval feast.Since you are a guest in medieval times, there are no utensils. Don't worry, there are napkins and wipes to help with sticky fingers. The meal is designed to easily eaten. This utensil free meal includes the following items:
  • Tomato bisque soup
  • Focaccia bread with olive oil and seasoning
  • Oven roasted chicken
  • Larger BBQ spare rib
  • Herb basted patio at split into two quarters
  • Braided apple strudel
  • Large beverage serving including ice tea, soda, and coffee
  • Vegetarian meal available upon quest
