Kids are king at Wizard World Comic Con Chicago

Have you been watching all the coverage from Comic Con in San Diego?  Did you see all the television stars, movie stars and comic fans joining together in one place. In Chicago we're lucky to have Wizard World Comic Con come to us. Plus, the event wants to cater to families too.

You're never too young to become a fan of comics. Whether your kids like Spiderman, Batman or just want to have a little fun, Kids Day at Comic Con will surely put a smile on their faces. The final day of this multi-day Chicago event is all about the younger crowd.

On Sunday, August 12, the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center will be full of special activities specifically for its youngest fans. When the kids arrive they are encouraged to pick up the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con Passport. This passport will direct kids (and their families) to kid-friendly booths, activities, celebrities and artists. After completing the tasks in their passports, kids can earn a prize.

Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without a costume contest. Show off your superhero prowess with your favorite costume. No need to wait for Halloween, time to dress up is now. The contest will begin at 1 pm.

Other fun activities throughout the day include superhero crafts with Justice Twins, Wonder Woman and Supergirl. Kids can make their own superhero mask. Ghostbusters will have a special reading time with a special question and answer at 1 pm. Other activities include face painting, balloon artists, kid friendly celebrities and artists. Kids have so many options that they will never be bored.

Don't forget that Wizard World Comic Con Chicago has numerous celebrity appearances throughout the multi-day event. Special appearances include William Shatner, Stan Lee, Scott Bakula, Tom Felton, Jon Bernthal, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and WWE® Superstars CM Punk™ and John Cena®, notable artists Carlos Pacheco, George Pérez, Greg Capullo and dozens of others will attend.

Wizard World Comic Con Chicago offers great deals for families throughout the event. Admission to Kids Day and the entire Wizard World Chicago Comic Con for kids 10 and under is free with a paid adult (two free kids per adult).  Adult tickets are $35 for admission on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
