Bringing the spice to Naperville, TexMex Food and Music Fest July 13-14

After feasting on hot dogs and hamburgers, it's time to put a little spice in our menus. This weekend Naperville will come alive with the bold foods and hot music of the TexMex Food and Music Fest

On both Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14, Naperville residents will be treated to a variety of your favorite Mexican inspired restaurants. Restaurants including Esteban's, Chicks n' Salsa Mexican Grill and CityGate Grill will be serving some of the area's best TexMex inspired food.

For those foodies in the area, Rick Bayless will be demonstrating some of his signature dishes on Friday night. This James Beard Award Winner and renowned chef/restauranteur will take the stage at 6:15.  Bayless will share his insight on how to make inspired dishes from his restaurants like Frontera Grill.

Besides all the great food offerings, the festival will be rocking to a varie of music performers over the two days. Headlining Friday night at 8 pm will be Chris Isaac. Known for classic hits like Wicked Game, the crowds will be singing along with these inspired melodies. Saturday night will be rocking with Asleep at the Wheel And Poi Dog Pondering. A Naperville favorite, Poi Dog Pondering will attire the full 16 piece band on stage for their 7 pm Saturday night performance.

TexMex and Music Fest is more than just great food and good music. Proceeds from the festival benefit DuPage PADS. This local charity is an organization that works to end homelessness. For over 26 years DuPage PADS  has evolved in the belief system that housing plus supportive services and employment is the solution towards the mission of ending homelessness.
