We like to move it, Madagascar party by Children's Claritin

Sing it with me. I like to move it move it, I like to move it move, I like to Move It!  Of course, King Jullian sings it a little better.

My kids love the Madagascar series of movies. We were grateful that we were able to host a Madagascar/Children's Claritin theme party recently for all our friends.

To celebrate the soon to be released Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted, we brought some of our friends together to watch both Madagascar 1 & 2. What I like about the Madagascar movies is that they fun for both parents and kids. So many kid movies are just boring for parents. In these movies, parents can enjoy various one-liners by the characters that make us chuckle (while the kids are rolling on the ground watching all the silliness)

Of course, you need some snacks while watching movies. Ours had a Madagascar theme. Check out the Madagascar Munch Mix. Maybe you can make some this weekend.

Madagascar Munch Mix
Ingredients:
5 cups of corn or rice cereal
1 1/2 cups of pretzels
1 cup of chopped nuts (may omit)
1/3 cup of butter or regular margarine, melted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup of raisins or dried fruit
1 cup chocolate chips or candies

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 325
2. Combine cereal, pretzels, and nuts in a 13x9x2
3. In a bowl, stir melted butter and salt together. Pour over cereal mixture, tossing gently until well coated.
4. Bake at 325 for 25 minutes, stirring once or twice. Spread in a large shallow pan or on foil to cool before mixing in remaining ingredients.

During the summer and playdates, it is always important to be conscious of allergy concerns for your guests. From food allergies to pet allergies, we all need to be aware of our surroundings. My kids suffer from seasonal allergies, which can fluctuate during the summer. Sometimes during heavy rain, we get stuffed up. I keep a few containers of Claritin chewables on hand to alleviate the snotty symptoms. Claritin is a supporter of the new Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Want.

Are your kids excited to see Madagascar 3 this weekend? Maybe tonight you can watch the first two movies to remember the antics of Alex and Marty. Or, build the excitement with Madagascar inspired activity guide. Visit Claritin on Facebook (facebook.com/CLARITIN) or www.madagascarmovie.com for free printables.

Show your Madagascar excitement by "Moving It" this weekend.

Disclosure: I hosted a Madagascar theme party because of my affiliation as a Claritin Mom.
